Terms of Use, Cookie Policy & Copyright Policy
Last updated: July 8, 2026
These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of this website and any other websites, applications, and online products and services (collectively, the "Websites") operated for the Now We Know TV! television series by WBC Productions and its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, and designees, if any ("Now We Know TV!," "we," "us," and "our"). By accessing or using the Websites you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree to all of these Terms, do not use the Websites.
How the Websites work
The Websites provide information about the Now We Know TV! series, its episodes, participants, and production team; publish editorial content such as stories and case studies; and allow you to submit story nominations, join our newsletter, and download press materials. We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Websites at any time, without notice or liability.
General provisions
You represent that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you use the Websites on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity, and "you" includes that entity. We reserve the right to refuse service, restrict access, or remove content at our discretion, to the extent permitted by law.
Intellectual property
The Websites and their contents, including the Now We Know TV! name and logos, episodes, video, photography, graphics, text, page designs, and the selection and arrangement of the foregoing, are the property of the series and its production company, WBC Productions, or are used with permission, and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Except as expressly permitted by these Terms or the press kit page, no content from the Websites may be copied, reproduced, republished, uploaded, posted, transmitted, or distributed without our prior written permission.
Third-party trademarks, including participant company names and logos and the CNBC name, belong to their respective owners and appear on the Websites for identification only. Their appearance does not imply sponsorship or endorsement of the Websites by those owners.
Limited license
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Websites for personal, non-commercial purposes. Media may additionally use the assets published on the press kit page for editorial coverage of the show under the conditions stated there. Any other use requires our prior written consent.
Story submissions and other user content
When you submit a story nomination, feedback, or any other material to us ("User Content"), you represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate, that you are authorized to share it, and that it does not violate any law or the rights of any third party. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and evaluate your User Content for the purpose of considering and producing programming and operating the Websites. You retain ownership of your User Content.
Submitting a nomination does not create any obligation on our part to feature, contact, or compensate you, and does not create a confidential or fiduciary relationship. Production engagements, if any, are governed by a separate written agreement, which controls over these Terms in the event of a conflict.
Feedback
If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about the show or the Websites, you agree that we may use them without restriction or compensation to you, and that nothing in these Terms limits our right to develop similar ideas independently.
Acceptable use: technical restrictions
You agree not to, and not to permit any third party to:
- Access or use the Websites in a way that violates any applicable law or regulation;
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Websites, or breach or circumvent any security or authentication measures;
- Interfere with or disrupt the Websites, or impose an unreasonable load on our infrastructure;
- Use any robot, spider, scraper, or other automated means to access the Websites for bulk data collection, including for training artificial intelligence models, without our prior written permission;
- Bypass, remove, or deactivate any technical measures we use to protect the Websites or their content;
- Introduce viruses, malware, or any other harmful code; or
- Frame or mirror any part of the Websites without our prior written consent.
Acceptable use: content restrictions
You agree not to submit through our forms or otherwise transmit to the Websites any material that is false, deceptive, or misleading; defamatory, obscene, or harassing; infringing of any intellectual property or privacy right; confidential or trade secret information you are not authorized to disclose; or unsolicited advertising, spam, or any form of solicitation not requested by us.
Commercial messages
If you use any feature of the Websites to send a communication, you are responsible for ensuring the communication complies with applicable law, including laws governing commercial email and telephone communications.
Termination
These Terms are effective until terminated. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Websites at any time, with or without cause or notice, to the extent permitted by law. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property provisions, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and dispute terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
THE WEBSITES AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE WEBSITES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED, OR THAT THE WEBSITES ARE FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
Content on the Websites and in the series is provided for general information and entertainment. It is not financial, legal, medical, or other professional advice, and statements by participants reflect their own views and experience.
Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL NOW WE KNOW TV!, WBC PRODUCTIONS, OR THEIR RESPECTIVE OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO USE, THE WEBSITES, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE WEBSITES WILL NOT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (US $100). NOTHING IN THESE TERMS LIMITS LIABILITY THAT CANNOT BE LIMITED BY LAW.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Now We Know TV!, WBC Productions, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your User Content, your use of the Websites, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
Third-party websites
The Websites link to external websites, including participant company sites and the WBC Productions site. Those links are provided for convenience only. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party websites, and a link does not imply our endorsement.
Copyright policy (DMCA)
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe material on the Websites infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated agent through WBC Productions that includes: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed; (3) identification of the material claimed to be infringing and its location on the Websites; (4) your contact information; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf. We will respond to valid notices as required by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, including removing or disabling access to the identified material where appropriate.
Cookie policy
Cookies are small text files placed on your device that uniquely identify your browser or store information or settings. As currently built, the Websites do not set advertising or analytics cookies, do not use social media pixels, and load no third-party fonts, scripts, or embeds. Strictly necessary technical storage may be used where required for the Websites to function. If we introduce additional cookies or similar technologies in the future, this section will be updated and, where required by law, you will be given a consent choice before any non-essential cookies are set. Most browsers allow you to refuse cookies or alert you when a cookie is being sent; if you disable cookies, some features of the Websites may not function as intended.
Communications and modifications
We may provide notices to you by posting on the Websites or, if you have subscribed, by email. We may revise these Terms at any time by updating this page and revising the date at the top. Changes are effective when posted, and your continued use of the Websites after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of our right to enforce it later. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by us to be effective.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights under them without our prior written consent, and any attempted assignment in violation of this section is void. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or related to them or the Websites are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute that is not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. You agree to first contact us and attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute informally before filing a claim. Any claim must be brought within one year after it arises, or be permanently barred, to the extent permitted by law.
Jury trial waiver
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EACH PARTY WAIVES ITS RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY PROCEEDING ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE WEBSITES.
No third-party beneficiaries
These Terms do not confer any rights or remedies on any person other than you and us, except that WBC Productions and its affiliates are intended beneficiaries of the protections stated in these Terms.
Entire agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms presented for specific features, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Websites and supersede all prior or contemporaneous understandings on that subject. Any separate written production agreement between you and the production company is unaffected by this section and controls as to its subject matter.
Survival
Sections concerning intellectual property, user content licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law, and any other provision that by its nature should survive will survive any termination of these Terms.
